November is THE ROTARY FOUNDATION MONTH. Be sure and read THE ROTARIAN MAGAZINE for November and learn what "alphapedia" means. You will also learn a lot about The Rotary Foundation.
Our ROTARY GOLF TOURNAMENT is this Monday, Oct. 30, at Fairway Oaks.. Lunch is served at 11 a.m. and tee time is 12:30. You can sign up the day of the tournament, but it WOULD HELP everyone if you sign up in advance.
Our Board of Directors has voted to award FIVE PAUL HARRIS FELLOW CERTIFICATES at the Rotary Foundation Banquet on Thursday, Nov. 16, at Hardin-Simmons. The names of the recipients are secret and will be revealed at the dinner. It could be you, so be sure and attend. Advance reservations are needed, so sign up at the registration table or let David Stubbeman know if you can come. Cost is $17.00.

ROTARIAN OF THE WEEK: BILL EHRIE. Bill was originally from New York City. He was Commander of the 96th Bomb Wing at Dyess for 2 ˝ years. Bill was Development Officer at McMurry Univ. when he joined our club in July 1992. He is now President of the Abilene Industrial Foundation. He is married to Vicki and they have four children.
