Program for Jan. 19: Members of the TEXAS RANGERS baseball team will tell us what to expect for this coming baseball season. This is always a great program. You may want to bring children and guests for this program.
Your club BOARD OF DIRECTORS met today. On Dec. 31, 2006, the Operating Account had a balance of $4,576.82 and our Community Service Account had a balance of $8,793.44 (which includes $2,631.31 from our golf tournament). MARY BETH KILGORE was re-elected to be club secretary-treasurer for next year. (Many thanks to Mary Beth, she has done a great job.)
The Board of Directors voted to give $500.00 toward a ROTARY MATCHING GRANT for an EYE CLINIC in India and $500.00 toward a ROTARY MATCHING GRANT for WATER WELLS in Zambia. Rotary believes in international service as well as local community service. Several grant requests from local organizations were considered, but the Board decided to wait until other organizations have had an opportunity to submit grant requests before the Board takes action on these requests.
Statements have been mailed out for Jan.-June club dues. Thanks to those of you who have already sent a payment check to the club office.
We are sorry to report that Blake Fulenwider and Dr. Victor Hirsch have resigned from the club. This leave our membership at 89 members.

At our meeting today, Jay Hobbs announced that 55% of our members have contributed to The Rotary Foundation since July 1, for a total of $7,800. We hope that EVERY ROTARIAN will donate $100.00 EVERY YEAR.
It is time to start thinking about our annual CHUCK MOSER DAY program in May. This is always one of the high-lights of our Rotary year. Turner Cariker is looking for help in getting ready for this event. Let Turner know if you are willing to work on this project.
Yellow vests identify Rotary volunteers in India, where 1.3 million teams of vaccinators go house to house to ensure no child is overlooked. An indelible dye marks the fingers of children who have received the polio vaccine.
